The synoptic board is a device with a group of indicators that can be used to signal the status of individual parts of the AFS42 system (e.g. a board with LEDs with names of rooms). The MTS42 is responsible for processing the information sent by the AFS42 control panel and controlling the outputs to which the indicators are connected.
\nThe MTS42 distinguishes between three states of the AFS42 system elements (addresses and zones) – failure, 1st stage alarm and 2nd stage alarm. Additionally, MTS42 is able to signal special states and general troubles of the control panel. Since the MTS42 is able to control 25 indicators, if you need to build a synoptic board with more indicators, more than one MTS42 module can be installed in the AFS42 system at the same time.<\/strong><\/span>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”The principle of operation (expand\/collapse)” style=”simple” color=”green” size=”lg” el_id=”1552479675040-fe75669d-0b07″]The operation of the module boils down to two basic modes: configuration mode and supervision mode.<\/span>
\nIn the configuration mode, the module is connected to the computer via the USB port. The USB connector provides power and communication with the computer. From the computer level, in a dedicated MTS42 program, the configuration of the module is determined and sent.<\/span>
\nIn the armed mode, the MTS42 is powered from a dedicated 12V DC power supply and is connected to the RS485 bus of the AFS42 control panel. Thanks to this, it constantly monitors the status of the control panel and, if necessary, activates the appropriate outputs according to the configuration saved in the non-volatile internal FLASH memory.<\/span>
